Jim Rogers: Yuan Move Good for China

China’s central bank has indicated that the yuan’s peg to the US dollar could be removed and instead the currency will be benchmarked to a basket of currencies.
Jim Rogers, chairman of Rogers Holdings, says that he continues to buy Chinese Yuan although it is not that easy as picking up the phone and buying some Australian dollars but "when I can I buy more Renminbi" it is my favorite currency in the sense that I am pretty sure I am going to make a fair amount of money over the years in this currency ...so...yes ...but it is not my favorite in term of liquidity or being able to do anything with it , but as a long term investor it is one I am most certain of...says legendary investor Jim Rogers ..

When I can I buy more renmimbi. Its my favorite currency in the sense that I am pretty sure I am going to make a fair amount of money over the years in this currency. Its not my favourite in terms of liquidity. But as a long term investment, its the one I am most certain of.

Jim Rogers on China Auto industry

"China's auto industry is growing faster than the economy as a
whole, and that takes some doing. In 2 0 0 6 , China streaked ahead of
Japan to become the world's number two market for automobiles.
And China, with an annual output of fifteen million units, is expected
to surpass the United States as the world's top car producer by 2020.
Already, China has more car brands on the market than America, But
there are still plenty of potential two-car garages in Chinese cities that
do not even hold one. And out in the countryside, there are myriad
milhons of miles of road yet to be conquered by the best contraptions
designed in Detroit and Tokyo." Jim Rogers in his book a Bull in China Investing profitably in the World's Greatest Market

Amongst The Precious Metals: Jim Rogers prefers Silver but is not going to sell his Gold

Jim Rogers: Silver is 70% below its all-time high, 60% or 70% below its all-time high. Gold is making all-time highs.if I were looking at precious metals I would be looking at the ones that haven't moved as much. If one doesn't own gold, and one doesn't want to buy the others for whatever reason, one should start waiting for some sort of correction and then buy some gold. But as I said, the others are much more depressed historically than is gold."
"there is gonna be a huge bubble in precious metals by the end .I don't know when that will be;you know.. ask me in 2018, 2020 ... Most bull markets long term bull markets wind up in a huge mania, a huge bubble before it's over and this one will too. Someday, everybody will own gold. Someday, people will be walking down the streets checking gold prices in shop front windows."
